Notifying Learners and Approvers

Before going live, brief your learners and approvers on how to use the system. Below is a summary of what to cover.

What to tell learners

  1. Installing the Teachme Player app and logging in…You can also log in using a QR code
  2. How to read the "My Skills" screen…You can view your rank, EXP, and the status of your Skills / certifications / Quests
  3. How to attempt a skill…Select a skill from the Skills list and tap "Attempt", work through the Curriculum, and once you meet the completion criteria, earn the skill or submit an Approval request
  4. How to apply for a certification…Go to the "Certifications" tab, select the target certification, and enter the number, acquisition date, Expiration Date, and certificate image to apply
  5. How to check notifications…You will receive notifications for approvals, passes, rejections, and deadlines

What to tell approvers

  1. The "Members" tab…Displays a list of your assigned Members and the number of Pending approvals
  2. The approval process…Open a Pending approvals item, Show explanation, then approve or pass
  3. Write a reason when rejecting…The learner will be notified
  4. Approving via QR code…When meeting in person, you can scan the learner's QR code to approve

When to brief users

It is recommended to hold a briefing session for the department starting the partial rollout immediately before the launch date. If you brief users before the setup is complete, they will log in and see no Skills at all, which makes a poor impression.

What to have users do first

  • Confirm that they can log in
  • Complete their first skill assessment (or register a certification)
