Once Skill Data has been gathered, use the Skill Map and analysis features to review the current situation.
Skill Map
Get a bird's-eye view of Members and their skills and qualifications in a matrix format. There are tabs for "Skills," "Qualifications," and "Members," and you can filter by organization or skill Folder.
Here are some ways to use it:
- Identify skill imbalances…If only a few people have a particular skill, that task is concentrated in specific individuals.
- Determine training targets…Consider which Members should acquire which skills.
- Check qualification status…View the number of holders per qualification and the status of their expiration dates.
Skill Data Analysis (Home Screen)
View graphs showing EXP trends and Average Lead Time by organization. You can filter by organization and time period, and compare multiple organizations.
- EXP trends…An upward trend indicates skill development is progressing. A flat trend suggests stagnation, while a downward trend may indicate the impact of employee turnover or other factors.
- Average Lead Time…This is the time it takes to advance a level. Levels with excessively long lead times become candidates for Curriculum review.
Data from the current day is not included. This screen shows confirmed values up through the previous day.
Running the Improvement Cycle
- Schedule regular review sessions…It is common practice to review skills approximately once every six months. Without a set time to regularly review the data, the process ends at simply viewing it.
- Revise the Curriculum…Skills with long lead times or high test failure rates may indicate a problem with the Curriculum.
- Add new skills…When feedback starts coming from the field saying "I'd like this skill added too," it's a sign that the process is beginning to run smoothly.
