A curriculum is a set of learning materials organized by level. This forms the core content of a skill.
What can be included
- Teachme Biz manuals…Marked as Complete when viewed
- Comprehension test…Marked as Complete when passed
- External link…Set a Title and URL
How learners progress
Learners start from the skill detail screen by clicking "Take on the Challenge" and work through the Curriculum in order. They may answer comprehension tests while referencing manuals, or perform hands-on tasks while referencing manuals to acquire skills.
Once all Curriculum items for that level are Complete, learners can proceed to earning the skill or submitting an Approval request.
Things to note when building a curriculum
- Levels without a Curriculum cannot be published…Please Add curriculum or turn on the approval setting. Save as Draft is available
- Manuals are retained as of the time they were added…If the manual is updated on the Teachme Biz side, a "Not up to date" message will appear — please update it using the button
- Shared manuals cannot be added…Manuals shared across multiple organizations in Teachme Biz cannot be used
Completion conditions and approval
For each level, you can configure the completion conditions (which Curriculum items must be Complete) and whether approval is required. For levels where no settings have been configured, the default is: Lv.1 requires "Complete all Curriculum items" with no approval, while Lv.2 and above require approval.
For levels that require approval, you can set up a checklist of Confirmation items. This feature is intended for use in interactive check-ins between managers and Members.
