How to view manuals in the Teachme Player app – Help Center | Teachme MySkill

The Teachme Player app lets you find and play Teachme Biz manuals.
This article covers the specifications for the home screen, manual playback, search, and translation.

Overview

When you Log into the app, the home screen is displayed.
The home screen gives you a consolidated view of the following:

Recently viewed
Portal Page
New / Updated (newly published or updated manuals)
Bookmarks

Tapping a manual lets you choose between "Playback" and "Learn a new skill."
"Playback" is standard playback, and "Learn a new skill" is skill training mode.

Specifications

Standard Playback

Manuals are played back in full screen
You can navigate to any step you want from the Step list on the right side of the screen
When a step finishes playing, it automatically advances to the next step
Tapping the screen during playback pauses it and displays buttons for repeat, Speed, and sharing
If a link is set for a step, a link button will also be displayed
Speed can be set to 0.75x, 1.0x, 1.5x, or 2.0x
Turning on repeat will return to the beginning after the last step and play the entire manual on a loop
You can copy the manual's URL using the share button

Skill Training Mode

This is a playback method for practicing while actually performing the task
For steps with a Standard time set, the elapsed time and Standard time are displayed in the upper right of the screen, and the Standard time is also read aloud
When a task is complete, you advance to the next step manually
You can also go back to the previous step
Unlike standard playback, skipping steps and repeat playback are not available
Link buttons set for steps are not displayed
Speed can be set to 0.75x or 1.0x
When you reach the last step, "Training complete" is displayed, and you can also Retry the practice from the beginning

Manual Search

In the "Discover" tab at the bottom of the screen, you can search for manuals by asking questions to the AI.
The AI's response and a list of related manuals are displayed.

Display Language and Auto-Translation

Selecting a language from the language Icon in the upper right of the screen will automatically translate the manual's Title and body text
The available languages vary depending on the Group settings
When you enable translation and play a manual, subtitles in the selected language are displayed below the video and are also read aloud
Only the manual's Title and body text are translated
The app's display elements, such as menus and buttons, are not translated
As this is machine translation, some expressions may feel unnatural
You can revert to the pre-translation display by selecting "Show original" from the language Icon
