Teachme MySkill progresses in the following order: preparation, partial operation, and operational improvement. The entire process takes approximately 6 months.
Overall Flow
Kickoff
Confirm objectives, goals, and operational structure, and establish a schedule.
Preparation (Months 1–3)
- Review operational rules
- Complete the initial setup of Teachme MySkill
- If a Skill Map already exists, organize its content and migrate it
- Prepare the devices that learners will use
Partial Operation (Months 4–5)
- Notify the departments involved in the partial operation
- Explain how to use the system to approvers and learners
- Check Log In status
- Conduct the first skills assessment
Operational Improvement (Month 6)
- Continue day-to-day operations
- Review operational status and make improvements
- Prepare to expand to other departments and notify the rest of the organization
Initial Setup Order
There are dependencies between settings. Please proceed in the following order.
- Organization…Set up the organizational hierarchy (Organization Group is optional)
- Users…Create job titles and Employment Types, and assign each user an organization, job title, Employment Type, and permissions
- Certification Settings…Register the external certifications you want to manage
- Skills…Design Skill Map Folders and skills
It is recommended to set up Certification Settings before Skills. Certifications can be put into operation as soon as they are registered, whereas Skills require time to develop the Curriculum. By starting operations with certifications first, your team will already be familiar with the app by the time you begin working with Skills.
