Certifications is a feature that allows you to register acquired external certifications (national qualifications, licenses, certificates of completion, etc.) and receive official recognition. This article outlines the process from application to acquisition.
Overview
Once you have acquired a certification, open the "My Skills" section in the Teachme Player app, go to the "Certifications" tab, tap the relevant certification, and proceed to the application form via "Start Challenge." Enter the certification number, acquisition date, and an image of your certificate to submit your application, which will then notify the approver. Once approved, the certification status changes to "Acquired" and EXP is granted.

Certification Statuses
- Not Started
- In Progress
- Pending...The application is awaiting approval
- Acquired
In addition to the four statuses above, the Certifications list can also be filtered by Returned, Expiring Soon, and Expired. Certifications that have been returned will display a "Returned" label, and the reason can be checked via Notifications.
Difficulty levels are also displayed in the list.
Content to Register When Applying
- Number...Up to 200 characters (optional)
- Acquisition Date...Required
- Expiration Date...Enter this for certifications that have an expiration date
- Images...Required. You can attach up to 5 images of your certificate. Choose from gallery or Take photo
Image Upload can only be performed by the individual themselves. Even those with approval authority cannot upload on someone else's behalf.
Types of Applications
There are 3 types of applications.
- New Acquisition...An application submitted when acquiring a certification for the first time. Once approved, the status becomes "Acquired"
- Renewal...An application to renew a certification that is approaching its expiration date. Even after approval, the status remains "Acquired," and 30% of the EXP from the initial acquisition is granted
- Correction...An application submitted when there is an error in the registered details. Even after approval, the status remains "Acquired"
Expiration Date
- When there are 90 days or fewer remaining until the expiration date, the status is shown as "Expiring Soon," and once the date has passed, it is shown as "Expired"
- As the expiration date approaches, a renewal notification will be displayed
Notifications and Badges
Notifications related to certifications are delivered via push notifications, the in-app Notifications list, and email.
Expiration Date Notifications
- Expiring Soon...Notifications are sent when there are 90, 60, 30, 14, 7, and 1 day(s) remaining until the expiration date, as well as on the expiration date itself
- Expired...Notifications are sent starting from day 1 after expiration, then day 8, day 15, and every week thereafter. Notifications stop on day 92
App Badges
A badge is displayed on the app Icon when any of the following conditions apply.
- When there is a certification that has been returned
- When there is a certification with 90 days or fewer until its expiration date
- When there is a certification that has passed its expiration date
In the Certifications list, the expiration status can be distinguished by badge color. Orange indicates Expiring Soon, and red indicates Expired.
Editing Details and Renewing
For acquired certifications, a correction application can be submitted via "Edit details" on the details screen. Renewal applications for certifications that are Expiring Soon or Expired are also submitted from the same entry point.
On the certification details screen, you can view the number, acquisition date, Expiration Date, images, and the amount of EXP that can be earned.
Status After Withdrawal or Return
If an application is withdrawn or returned, the status reverts to what it was before the application was submitted.
- New Acquisition application...Reverts to "In Progress"
- Renewal or Correction application...Remains "Acquired" (the number, acquisition date, and expiration date are also retained)
A returned application can only be resubmitted as the same type of application.
About "Revert to Not Started"
Certifications that are In Progress can be reverted to Not Started. However, this cannot be done if there are any Pending Approvals or returned applications remaining.
Note that reverting to Not Started will not reduce any EXP already earned.
