In Teachme MySkill, organizations are registered in a hierarchical structure. This article summarizes how organization hierarchies and Organization Groups work.
Overview
The organization hierarchy is used to define where Users belong, and also determines the following three things.
- Skill distribution targets…Specify an organization as the Audience for a skill Folder
- Approver candidates…Approvers are collected by tracing up from the applicant's Organization to higher-level organizations
- Aggregation scope…In Skill Map and Skill Data Analysis, an organization and its Descendant organizations are aggregated together
An Organization Group is a unit for handling multiple organizations together. It can be specified as the Audience for a skill Folder.
Specifications
Organization hierarchy
- There is no limit to the depth of the hierarchy
- Organization names must be within 200 characters, and Management Codes must be within 200 characters
- Organizations at the same level can be dragged to reorder their display order. Reordering only affects the display order and does not change Approver candidates or the aggregation scope
- When an organization is moved, it is placed at the end of the destination
Conditions that prevent deletion
Organizations that meet any of the following conditions cannot be deleted.
- There are Members belonging to that organization
- There are child organizations under that organization
Please first Change the Member affiliations or move/delete the child organizations before deleting.
Impact of moving an organization
Since the organization hierarchy forms the basis for Approver candidates and the aggregation scope, moving an organization changes the following.
- Approver candidates for Users who were moved (the higher-level organizations change)
- The scope of Members that Approver Users can view (Members of their Organization and its Descendant organizations)
- The distribution scope when an organization is specified as the Audience for a skill Folder
