Certifications is a feature for registering and managing external certifications (national qualifications, licenses, certificates of completion, etc.) that Members have obtained. This article summarizes the specifications for Certification Settings.
Overview
In "Certification Settings" under Settings, register the certifications you want to manage in advance. Once a certification is registered, learners can submit an acquisition request with an image of their certificate, and upon approval, the certification will be marked as Acquired.
External certifications can be managed using the same approval flow as skills. EXP granted upon acquisition is also combined with skill EXP. Acquisition status can be checked in the "Certifications" tab of the Skill Map.
Specifications
Certification Fields
- Certification names must be within 200 characters, and descriptions within 1,000 characters
- Difficulty…Set on a scale of 1 to 5. The EXP granted upon acquisition varies according to the difficulty level
- Tags…Can be attached to certifications for organization. Tags can be used to filter the list
Duplicate Certification Names
The same certification name cannot be registered twice. A name that was used for a deleted certification can be registered again.
Impact of Deleting a Certification
Deleting a certification cannot be undone. Deletion affects the following.
- The certification will no longer be displayed or editable in the admin panel
- The certification will no longer appear in the Skill Map
- Any requests that were Pending Approvals for that certification will be cancelled
Tag Management
In "Tag Management" under Settings, register tags and the categories that group them.
Certifications with tags can be filtered by tag in Certification Settings and in the "Certifications" tab of the Skill Map.
- Tag names and Category Names must be within 255 characters
- Tags with the same name and categories with the same name cannot be registered
- Colors are selected per Category
- Tags that do not belong to a Category are grouped under "Uncategorized"
- Deleting a tag will also remove it from any certifications it was attached to
- Even if you Delete Category, the tags within it will move to "Uncategorized," and tags attached to certifications will remain as they are
