Certifications is a feature for registering and managing external certifications obtained by Members (such as national qualifications, licenses, and certificates of completion). This article summarizes the specifications for Certification Settings.
Overview
Register the certifications you want to manage in advance under "Certification Settings" in the settings. Once a certification is registered, learners can submit an acquisition request along with an image of their certificate, and upon approval, the certification will be marked as Acquired.
External certifications can be managed using the same approval flow as skills. EXP granted upon acquisition is also combined with skill EXP. Acquisition status can be checked in the "Certifications" tab of the Skill Map.
Specifications
Certification Fields
- Certification names must be within 200 characters, and descriptions within 1,000 characters
- Difficulty…Set on a scale of 1 to 5. The EXP granted upon acquisition varies according to the difficulty level
- Tags…Can be added to certifications for organization. Tags can be used to filter the list
Duplicate Certification Names
Duplicate certification names cannot be registered. A name that was used for a deleted certification can be registered again.
Impact of Deleting a Certification
Deleting a certification cannot be undone. Deletion affects the following.
- The certification will no longer be viewable or editable in the admin panel
- The certification will no longer appear in the Skill Map
- Any Pending Approvals requests for that certification will be canceled
Tag Management
Register tags in "Tag Management" under settings. Tag names must be within 255 characters, and a color can be selected.
