When you Enable automatic approver selection in Group Settings, approver candidates will be automatically selected when applying for skills or qualifications. Applicants can submit requests without the hassle of choosing an approver.
The setting can be changed from "Approval Settings" in "Group Settings". For Groups where this is disabled, applicants will continue to manually select an approver as before.
